Although the Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters were not yet established in Brazil, God began to attract young women to their life of contemplation and adoration within the cloister.  Through the active Holy Spirit Missionary Sisters, they had heard about us and were encouraged to apply for admission in our Adoration Convent in Córdoba, Argentina.  These Portuguese-speaking candidates were ready to make the missionary sacrifice of going to another country and learning a new language, Spanish.  In this way Divine Providence was preparing the Congregation to accept the call to found a convent in Brazil.  This call sounded for the first time in April 1978 at a meeting of the South American provincial superiors of the Missionary Sisters, held in Córdoba.  By spring of 1982 negotiations had advanced so far that the site had been chosen in the city of Ponta Grossa in the Province of Paraná.  The spacious property was a donation from the society of the Divine Word.  Soon the land could be cleared and prepared for construction operations.

Already on October 21, 1982 the cornerstone was laid.  At this ceremony Mother Mary Aurora explained that the name of the convent symbolizes the triple dimension of the spirituality which we received from St. Arnold Janssen and Mother Mary Michael: our spirituality is Marian, Eucharistic and Pentecostal.  A solemn Eucharistic Celebration marked the dedication of the new chapel on November 5, 1983, with three bishops and twenty priests concelebrating, although the chapel was not completely finished.  Since the chapel and convent are dedicated to Our Lady of the Cenacle, the consecration of the altar was planned for a Marian feast, that of her Queenship on August 22, 1984.

Some years later an additional wing had to be built onto the convent to accommodate the growing community.  In addition to the apostolate of adoration and prayer for the Church and her mission, the Sisters supply many parishes with the altar breads they make. Their church vestments are also in demand.  The spacious grounds around the convent allow for raising some livestock and cultivating vegetables, fruits and also flowers for the altar.  May Our Lady continue to watch over this convent and grant it continued growth for the glory of God.
