Tulip

I always look forward to seeing them grow up from the ground again after winter. From the ground that was frozen and covered with snow.

Year after year they sprout new leaves and these make their way through the old leaves and various branches that have fallen. They know what they want, they know why they were created, and what their purpose is, which the Eternal Creator has determined for them. That is why they work hard and grow and grow… After a while, buds appear imperceptibly between the leaves – an unmistakable sign that it is almost time!

And then they bloom – and it is clear to everyone that spring is here. 😊

However, when I realize how much effort these tulips cost before they provide the surroundings with the splendor of their colorful flowers, and that this beauty only lasts a few days, (- and wait another year for the next one-), I feel a little sad. I wish it would last longer.

Our meetings with some people are also like a tulip. They last for a short time (we will never meet some people again, or again in a year, two or ten years, …), but they still have meaning and significance – for us and for others.

Maybe you carry in your memories some meeting that changed (or influenced) your life. Maybe you wished you could meet that person again and spend some time with him. But it didn’t happen.

Thank God for sending such a “tulip” (=gift) your way.

And maybe at this very moment someone else is thanking you for having influenced them positively and given them good advice for life, although maybe your meeting lasted very short and you don’t even remember it now.

But one thing is certain: Your efforts “bloomed” at the right time and you became a gift to those around you – like a beautiful tulip.
