The Word of God is an essential part of our lives as Christians and contemplatives. Pope Francis wrote in the Apostolic Constitution Vultum Dei Quaerere (Seeking the Face of God): “You [contemplatives] are called to make [the Word of God] the nourishment of your contemplation and daily life, so that you can then share this transforming experience of God’s word with priests, deacons, other consecrated persons and the laity. Look upon this sharing as a true ecclesial mission.” This is a little bit of how His Word inspires and moves us day by day.
I always look forward to seeing them grow up from the ground again after winter. From the ground that was frozen and covered with snow.
